A command available on most Cisco IOS based platforms; used to display entries in the device's local logging buffer.

Usage Syntax
Configuration Context: enable mode
show logging [history]
Usage Notes
The log entries are shown in chronological order. That means the latest log entry is at the bottom of the log. The reverse is true of Extreme platforms.
Logging configuration is adjusted using the global configuration logging command
Typical Output
show logging
Syslog logging: enabled (0 messages dropped, 2 messages rate-limited, 0 flushes, 0 overruns)
Console logging: level debugging, 15137 messages logged
Monitor logging: level debugging, 47 messages logged
Buffer logging: level debugging, 15139 messages logged
Exception Logging: size (8192 bytes)
Count and timestamp logging messages: disabled
Trap logging: level informational, 15136 message lines logged
Log Buffer (4096 bytes):
