A command available on most Extreme switch platforms; used to copy configuration, Boot ROM and software image files to the device the command is executed on.

Usage Syntax
download [file_type] [server_address] [file_name] [location]
Usage Examples
To download software image v762b3.SCxtr from host 170.99.64.199 to the secondary image location:
download image 170.99.64.199 v762b3.SCxtr secondary
Typical Output
Are you sure you want to overwrite the secondary image (Y/N)? y ......................................................................... .................!...............................................!............... ................................!
Note: The file has been downloaded to the device when you see the first '!'
Related Commands
The Use command configures which image the switch uses at next boot.
The Show switch command can be used to display what image file was booted, what image file will be booted on next reboot and what image files are in each file location.
The show version command can be used to display what boot ROM image and version is installed and used.
Command Equivalents
The Cisco Copy tftp command performs the same function.
