A CLI command available on most Cisco IOS and Force10 FTOS based platforms; used to issue exec mode commands (such as show, clear and debug) from configuration mode.

Usage Syntax

font color=limegreencommand/font is an exec mode command such as a show, clear or debug command, including any necessary parameters
Usage Examples
router(config)#font color=limegreendo show run/font font color=deepskybluemodule 1/font
Usage Notes
The do command supports command aliases configured with the alias command.
The do command supports use of local host entries.
The do command supports initiation of outbound connections using the telnet or ssh commands.
The do command does not support use of the help system using ?.
Cisco Usage Notes
Use font color=limegreen?/font to display context sensitive help; a list of available commands, a list of available command parameters or a list of available files and/or file systems.
Use font color=crimson[TAB]/font to auto-complete commands or file names.
To make more effective use of the command line interface; filter show command output using Command Output Filters and use the available CLI Edit Keys.
