A command available on most Cisco IOS based platforms; used to issue exec mode commands (such as show, clear and debug) from configuration mode.

The do command supports use of local host entries.

The do command supports initiation of outbound connections using the telnet or ssh commands.

The do command does not support use of the help system using ?.
