default hostname

Image:accessories-text-editor-v2-medium.png Usage Notes

Use this command with caution, a number of protocols rely on the host name or host name related parameters and may not work if the hostname is changed. These include PPP authentication protocols such as PAP and CHAP, used by dial-up connections for instance and SSH, which relies on RSA keys based on the host and domain name.

If you are connecting using SSH you may lose your connection. Image:Help-browser-small.png Requires Confirmation
