A command available on most Cisco IOS based platforms; used to return a specific configuration value or a collection of configuration values to it's or their default(s.)
Be aware these commands remove any existing non-default configuration and this could affect traffic flow into and out of the device and your connectivity to it. See each article for more specific information.
Select the relevant default command article;
- default interface command - Set an interface's configuration to it's default.
- default hostname command - Set a device's hostname to it's default value.
