Confreg command, Cisco ASA

A command available on most Cisco ASA platforms; used to display and modify the numerical value of the Configuration Register at the ROM Monitor Mode command line.

Usage Syntax
confreg [value]
Usage Examples
confreg - display current configuration register value and prompt to change it's value
confreg 0x41 - change the value of the configuration register to the specified value: 0x41 (as normally used for password recovery on ASA devices)
Usage Notes
If you modify the configuration register value you will need to reboot in order for the change to take affect, use the boot command
