A command available on most Cisco platforms; used to configure the current date and/or time of the device.

Usage Syntax
clock set hh:mm:ss dd mmm yyyy
Usage Examples
clock set 20:45:00
clock set 20:45:00 1 JAN 2007
Usage Notes
The highest year you can currently select is 2035.
You cannot set the date without setting the time.
Command Equivalents
The Extreme command equivalent is the configure time command
The Linux and Vyatta platforms command equivalent is the date command
