Usage Notes
Proceed this command with the no keyword to disable the Turbo ACL acceleration feature.
Turbo ACL acceleration is disabled by default.
Turbo ACL acceleration provides benefits for ACLs larger than 3 entries.
The CPU load for Turbo ACL acceleration is fixed regardless of the size of the ACL. Therefore, CPU load should not be of concern if ACLs grow considerably and the larger an ACL, the greater the benefit of this feature.
When using Turbo ACL acceleration the time taken to match the packet is fixed. Therefore the latency of packets processed against an ACL is lowered in most cases and significantly in the case of large ACLs and consistent.
Availability
Generally available in IOS release 12.1(5)T and above.
